In February 2015, Matthew Thurston and Meredith Bradley got engaged and chose Matt's father's property in New Gloucester for their wedding. Seeing its potential, they decided to transform the barn for their reception. With hard work, perseverance, Fred Thurston's blessing, and lots of help from Landon and Hannah, they renovated the barn into one of Maine's finest properties.

Matthew and Meredith initially planned their own wedding but eventually saw the potential for similar events. They proposed a business plan to Fred, resulting in the creation of The Farm on Intervale. This 400-acre property with rolling fields and beautiful landscape serves as a venue for weddings, corporate leadership retreats, trade shows, and more. The couple's 2016 wedding had over 200 guests comfortably accommodated in this 300+ capacity Maine barn venue.
