The Farm on Intervale
History
The Farm on Intervale started in summer 2016. From 1985 to 1998, Fred Thurston ran it as a working farm. Later, it became his homestead, reflecting his love for the land and wildlife. The 400-acre property hosts deer, geese, turkey, and an annual pheasant shoot.
In January 2016, Matthew and Meredith Thurston asked Fred about using the beautiful barn on the property for weddings and events. Over the next several months, they and their children, Landon and Hannah, transformed the barn into a spectacular space while maintaining its rustic Maine elegance. The barn and property are now available for rent.
